Fall o Fun
We have had a great Fall~ we found out we are going to have a C-section on December 6th to welcome our new baby girl into the world, unless she decides to come early! Parker had a ton of fun Trunk-or-Treating and discovered "CANDY". Now it is his favorite word and thinks he gets candy for everything, even when he does something wrong... guess we created a monster. Anyways it is about 4 more weeks until baby time. Until then its turkey time and getting ready for the Holidays. We love you all! God Bless until next time!

Honorable Mention
Our local community held and open Photography Show for amateurs on up to professionals. One of my girlfriends and I who love photography decided to enter. We each put three images into the show with excitement of just having our work shown. Much to my shock and surprise one of my images received and "Honorable Mention" by the judges. In essence I believe that I was 4th place with two other photos. The photo was taken of my best friend and her baby girl. It is one of my favorites and now is my absolute favorite! What a blessing to have been able to take the photo and to now have it recognized!

Florida Trip
We had an unfortunate death in our family a few weeks ago, so Parker and I braved the highway and headed out to Florida. We did get the chance to see some friends and family and spend some time with my mom and dad... a.k.a Grams and "Baba". I am pretty sure he is in love with them!
As for "Big Daddy"... we love you and you are in our thoughts and prayers!

Baby #2... First picture
I can't ever seem to get a good sonogram but we are excited to have a picture of the baby none the less. We still do not know if it is a girl or boy, but we do know we are due at the end of the year, maybe January. We are so excited to meet this little one and open the next chapter in our lives. Please keep us in prayer for this baby. Thanks!

BEACH Bum!
Summer means sun, sand and surf, and sunburns! We went Saturday to our main beach, which hopefully will not see any oil disaster, but chances are pretty slim. We had a great time and we learned Parker is in LOVe with the water, wonder where he gets it from? We went with Parker's "girlfriend" "I-Bell" as he calls her. I got a great shot of them holding hands, gotta love summer romance! Too cute!

Niffer's Place
We spent Labor Day weekend camping at Lake Martin. Every time we go out of town I am determined to find cute local joints to eat at if we go out. On our way in we saw this hopping place that had a sign out front that said, "Budget Saver: Kids eat FREE". We thought it looked so cute and fun that we had to give it a try. Niffer's was totally adorable and we had excellent food and atmosphere. If you are ever in the area, you MUST stop in! www.niffersplace.com

Daddy's lil helper
I assume most little boys grow up wanting to be just like their daddies. Parker is no exception. Ever since he could crawl he has wanted to be right under daddy's feet trying to see what he is doing and wanting to help. Now he is actually starting to help! He hands daddy tools and helps him figure out what the problem is when fixing something. My boys are just too adorable and Parker is a great helper!

Dog days...
We love our dogs and we discovered recently that our lab, "Remi" loves the sprinkler. He is a little obsessed actually. Parker decided to hold the sprinkler and shoot Remi with the water. Needless to say we were cracking up and so was he! Maybe you'll get a kick out of it too!

Class Gifts
For the last day of school I made little gift bags for my kids in my class. I bought little tote bags, bargain ribbon and characters that were iron-on. I chose different characters and styles that were unique for each child's personality. The whole project took about 3 hours to do 11 bags. I think they turned out just adorable and the kids LOVED them!

I did it!
Finally, I did it! it has been about five years, but I finally finished a book. Between marriage, moving out of state, buying a house, having a baby, and life I have not made time to read an entire book. I have done devotionals, read the Bible and even skimmed thru "What to expect when you are expecting". My girlfriends convinced me that I needed to make the time and commit to finishing a book. So after seeing "The Last Song" I found the book and went for it. About three weeks later I finished it. It was much better than the movie and had a much more spiritual and Biblical side than the movie also. I truly enjoyed it and now I am going to tackle "Dear John".

CRAWFISH!!!
Probably my hubby's favorite thing about living out here is the crawfish. When it is in season I find myself watching him down those little mud bugs by the pound. He loves them and I find them disgusting. At least they come in handy to make our son laugh!

Nursery man
Parker loves the nursery at church, but probably not as much as I do. The ladies are so sweet to him and they are so caring. He gets to have a great time while Matt and I get some much needed quality time at church. Our church family is incredible and we are so blessed to have found such an incredible place! Fellowship we love you!

Mother's Day 2010
Happy Mother's Day to all the incredible moms out there. We are so blessed to be given the gift of children. Today our pastor reminded us of what it must have been like to be Mary and witness the first hand account of the life and death of Jesus. She must have had such strength in her faith as she watched her son being tortured and crucified. Did she know that when her son died he did it for her and for the rest of the world? As a mother of a boy it is so hard to think of anything bad happening to your son, but to put yourself in her shoes is SO unimaginable. How incredible the love of a son to be sure she was safe of by asking John to take care of Mary, while he was dying! That is the true love of a king! Kiss your babies today and remember we are saved by His grace and that is why we can be wonderful mothers!

My first Quilt!!!
WHOOO-HOO!! It is about time. I have always loved quilts and knew they took a long time to make and they were made with love. Since I am a scrap-booker and new to the world of sewing, my mother in law took me to a huge quilt convention last year. It was amazing all the things we saw. I got inspired and picked up an "easy" mini quilt. uhhh-huh! Easy does not cut it! It was a little harder than I anticipated, but I am holding my own. I still need to add the backing and finish the jack of the flag. Will post again when closer to finished!
Zoo Trip
Although we have lived here for three years, we still had not made a trip to the zoo. We heard Houston had a great zoo and we decided it was time (and Parker was ready too) to visit. The weather was just beautiful and we even landed a primo parking spot. Parker was fascinated by the water fountains and the birds. We had an awesome day... maybe we can tackle Disney next, NOT!

BIG BROTHER!!!!
We have awesome news that Parker is going to be a big brother! We found out a few weeks ago and we are reeling with excitement and more information. My doctor has been out of town for two weeks and we are still waiting to get an appointment. Will post as soon as we know more. Keep us in your prayers, Thanks!

Parker's Second!
Ok I still can NOT believe my little monkey man is 2! We had his birthday party last weekend and we all had a great time. The John Deere theme was just too cute for words (he was too, little farmer). I successfully made his cake with out burning it, or our house! I think it turned out cute and tasty too!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY my little P~Man! :)

Hey everyone, I know it has been a while. We have been busy the last few months. Some good, some not so good. We just finished up a kitchen remodel and that has kept us crazy. I started teaching again and I have been playing lesson planning catch up. We lost my dog Purdy to a bad seizure that she never came out. I had her for ten years and we miss her terribly! More posts to come soon! God Bless to you all!
